Presentations and Sessions
Who Can Speak at PodCamp.in
You can. Yes, you. Everyone can. Unlike a regular conference where speaking slots are allotted only to the highest bidder, Unconferences are by you, for you. If you don't see a session here that you want, create one and present it! Share what you know and your fellow participants will do the same.
The Law of Two Feet
Simply put: your experience at PodCamp is what you want it to be. At any time, if you're not learning what you want to learn, if you're not getting what you need, you have every right to depart the session you're in and move to a different one, or none at all.
Types of Sessions and Presentations
- Presentation: 30 minutes in a room of your peers. Help us all learn something new... The intelligence is in the room... discuss a topic that interests you... get everyone involved...
- Lightning Talk: 5-minute impromptu talk in a quiet corner on a gem you've discovered and want to share.
- Jam Session: 30 minutes of your acoustic music if you're a musician - let us hear you live! Be sure to bring some merch for a table in the corner.
- Lightning Concert: 5 minutes of your best acoustic song whenever, whenever.
Please note: The organizers of Podcamp.in are working to ensure sessions will be recorded via video and/or audio but can't guarantee all sessions will be covered. Along these lines, we encourage you to record your own session and send us a link so we can upload it to our wiki and make it available via a DVD/public format. If you don't want your session recorded, that's fine too. Just let us know.
Also, there are ways to record your session that are free and you can use the day of Podcamp. Here are some below you should check out and test before you arrive:
TalkShoe Allows you to record your session (audio only) by talking on your cellphone to a live, virtual audience. Think about getting Blue Tooth enabled and have friends join you who can text/ask questions via phone (along with your live audience).
PalTalk Allows you to record video content/chats via webcam. Great way to record your content and either feature it live or videocast it later on. (May be monthly charges for service)
