The first PodCamp in India will be held in Chennai in 2007. PodCamp.in is FREE to attend for the community and is a successor to the successful BlogCamp.in, which was India's biggest unconference on blogging.

The power of an UnConference is that attendees get direct access to ideas, thoughts, best practices, and the wisdom of real experts simply by attending and participating. An UnConference brings together people with many different skill sets along with the spirit of sharing and learning – creating a level playing field for everyone to learn, share and acts as a catalyst for creative mashups.

We are podcasters, bloggers, video bloggers, enthusiasts, hobbyists, musicians, journalists, promoters, marketers, business people and people who generally want to understand more about the new media space and its applications.

We would like everyone to participate in some form or another and learn at PodCamp.in. We urge you to consider signing up to give a talk and share your experience with the community about Blogging, Podcasting, Video Blogging and the business impact of new media and the influence it creates. The sessions are held in the format of a conversation with the people in the room participating. Let others join you and ignite the conversations. There will be Podcasting & Video Blogging demos, hought provoking & inspiring talks with the masters sharing their tricks and techniques. You will also have the opportunity to participate in live Podcasts and Video interviews as well.

Podcamp.inis for people interested in new media and the power of influence of the Internet. Bloggers, Podcasters, Video Bloggers (Vloggers) are the people, who the conference serves best. The Venue:

Podcamp.in is being held in Tidel Park, one of the best software parks in India. The venue has access to a few large areas to assemble for sessions and areas earmarked for decompressing and for demo tables. The venue is very accessible by public transport - you can ride a train, take a bus, or just ride your bike. It's VERY accessible to folks either coming from far away or locally. Parking is free.

Sessions spread over two days will focus on planning for content, content creation, content publishing and subscription models, production quality, tools, recording techniques, video composition, editing skills, audio & video post production techniques. Also included are sessions on Monetization of New Media formats, Podcasting and Video Blogging and impact of new media on business, Directly communicating with customers in Web 2.0 world, New Media marketing and public relations. We'll be doing lots of hands-on learning at this event, including how-to's on show planning, recording techniques, editing skills, video composition and plenty more. So bring in your gear, give a live demo and set-up a live show on site and help record the sessions.
